WOW!! I am totally in love with this giveaway. I have been a HUGE fan of Earth Mama Angel Baby for a while now even though I don't have any babies, but my husband and I our trying to conceive at the moment and I am already late for my period, so we our praying hard. Anyway, the reason why breastfeeding is important to me is because of all the benefits. I mean not only has it been proven to significantly reduce a woman's likelihood of developing breast cancer like you mentioned, but also there are so many nurtients in a mother's milk that formula cannot beat it, which is so crucial for a developing baby, and the one on one personal connection you experience when breastfeeding your baby. I have heard stories of my friends that have just given up and it broke my heart. Granted, I have no idea what it is like to breastfeed, but I know that I am going to do everything in my power to breastfeed for a long time. That is great that you are going on 16 months now, so awesome to hear:)

So bascially, I need to wrap this up, but I already will be purchasing baby products from EMAB when we have our little one and this kit would be a blessing because it would be something that I would not have to buy since their products are pricey, but I know a baby is well worth it. And if I for whatever reason I do not use it, I have many friends that can benefit from it and it would be a great start to introduce them to an organic product that is wonderful cause not a lot of my friends are green like me.

Good luck to all and I just signed up to receive your updates because I don't think I ever did before. Thank you!!

My husband just found out a few days ago that we are expecting our first child. I am looking forward to breastfeeding. I feel it is important because their is a special bond between mother and child. It is something I knew I always wanted to at least try.
  • C.monster · 1 year ago
products like this are great because they encourage women to breastfeed. in a culture that sends you home from the hospital with formula samples, it is so important to promote breastfeeding as normal and natural so more women will be encouraged to try it. for me, breastfeeding was a beautiful way to connect with my son after a challenging pregnancy and very traumatic birth. by breastfeeding i was able to bond with him, take a little quiet time and focus on all the positive parts of being a new Mom rather than dwelling on my less than happy birth experience. i was happy to see this post. i would love more women to at least try to breast feed so we can get rid of the negative stigma.

    1. It's Free.
    2. Boobs are really portable.
    3. I reduce my risk of cancer, both breast and ovarian.
    4. Baby gets an immune boost.
    5. My boobs get huge. (ok, thats really why my husband likes it)
    6. I have an excuse to sit and do nothing but stare at my baby multiple times a day.
    7. I get to fall back asleep as soon as baby has latched on (read: more sleep).
    8. Breast milk can treat eye and nose infections.
    9. It helps prevent childhood obesity.
    10. It comes in environmentally friendly packaging.

Why mess with the original design?

Breastfeeding is important to me because it gives my babies an extra boost to their health. And it gives me some quality one on one time with them when they are little. This kit could have helped me through many a difficult time when I was breastfeeding my first child. I struggled with maintaining my milk supply, and I did find the tea, which worked. But around 9 months of age, my son contracted some really awful thrush and passed it onto me. I thought my nipples were on fire! They were so raw and cracked that I despaired of ever feeding him again or feeling normal. So if I had this kit, perhaps those last few months of breastfeeding might have been saved, since my son effectively weaned himself from breast milk around that time. It broke my heart!

I am trying to prepare to be a new mom in the spring, and Earth Mama Angel Baby is one set of products that make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I don't have to worry about their products being toxic to me or the baby, and the quality is high and the website is so sweet : ) I will be breastfeeding my little guy or gal, and would love to have this kit all lined up to go for when I need it! Thanks for the opportunity!

Breastfeeding is so important to me, not only because it offers the best nutrition for my baby, but also because of the opportunity it gives us to really bond. Nothing in my life has been as rewarding as nursing my daughter! Unfortunately, I work full time and have had a hard time keeping my milk supply up. I have heard great things about the tea and would love to try it, as well as the other Earth Momma Angel Baby products. Especially since I've been a die-hard lanolin (nipple and diaper rash treatment) user but am questioning whether or not to continue to buy it as I don't know how the animals are treated (but would venture to guess not very well :( ). Thank you!

Great giveaway! For the record, I am not entering the contest. I'm not pregnant, don’t have any children and unsure if that’s even possible for me, but I love how you are getting the word out about how important breastfeeding is. Good luck to all of the mommies here!

I would like to give this to my friend who is pregnant and she will be breastfeeding for her first time.

I have been breastfeeding my daughter for over 16 months now, and we recently found out that we are expecting baby #2! While nursing is now incredibly painful due to the pregnancy, I plan to continue to breastfeed her until she self-weans. Other than a hand-me-down tube of Lansinoh, I didn't have anything to help with the discomforts of early (and ongoing) breastfeeding, especially breastfeeding with Raynaud's Syndrome. It would be lovely to have some items that I can use to get through the pain now, and when the new baby arrives. I love EMAB products, but they are way out of our price range!
  • m0nika · 1 year ago
Breastfeeding is important to me because I want to give my baby the very best start he can get. I'm 4 months into it now, and I could really use this kit, I've had a very difficult time nursing from the get go and just getting off an aggressive nursing strike with ds (think bite-pull-turn away - ouchie!). Trying to keep him on the good stuff for as long as I can tho, he has eczema and I'm hoping that my milk can help him fight it off.
  • Thea · 1 year ago
Thanks for the giveaway! I am a huge supporter of nursing and am so looking forward to it with my soon to be baby! This is just the kind of additional assistance I've been looking for!

My daughter isn't due until early 2009, but after much research, I had decided to use the EMAB breast feeding kit. I must admit I'm a bit scared at the idea of breast feeding, but there is so much research supporting all the benefits for baby and mother that I have to at least try it. Hopefully it will go well for me. I'm sure the kit will help. Thanks for helping to spread the word.

I am so excited about this kit! I have several friends who are pregnant and I would love to give this to one of them. For when I have children I am definitely going to breastfeed despite the possible difficulties. I think breastfeeding is an amazing experience that women get to have with their children, and the health benefits for the baby are wonderful! Not to mention it reduces the risk of breast cancer! :) I can't wait!

I would love to use this kit as I am still breastfeeding my 8 month old son. I believe that breastfeeding is the chance to give your child the best start in life. WOW, what an emotional entry! I LOVE THIS <a href="mailto:GIVEAWAY!

Breastfeeding is important to me because I know it's the best for my baby. I think it's so beautiful that we were made to provide for our baby's needs this way. I love looking down at my baby when I'm breastfeeding and I know those are moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I had a very difficult time breastfeeding the first 2 months (sore nipples, bad latch, etc..) but now I enjoy every minute of it. I have a
friend who tried to bf with her first child but gave up after 2 weeks because she couldn't stand the pain and also because she didn't have any support. Now that she's pregnant again she's determined to bf so I'd love to give this kit to her to show her my support.

But we are planning on a third here in the next year and I am very excited that I will have another shot at trying to breast feed as long as possiable. I hope I win this. I am learning more about your products and am excitedt o strt purchasing a few.

I have to admit - I don't want this for myself, but for a dear friend of mine. She's the first among "us girls" to get pregnant and she's already told us how committed she is to breast-feeding once she's delivered. She knows that its healthy not just for her baby, but for her as well and I would love to gift this to her! Everyone's been showering her with great baby gifts, which are SO HARD to look at for 9 months with no baby, so I've been gifting her with other things for 'her' that are safe, toxin free, and will help her feel pampered until she delivers. This would be great for her for after she has her baby!

    HI,
I was not fortunate to breast feed my first child as I was severely debilitated by post partum depression and I still grieve over the fact I was not able to make the bond even more stong, due to my medications.

    However,
I am pregnant again, and am prepared that if I am struck with the same, I already have a counsellor ready for input and so much support, that I know will do this naturally. I am so determined. Thanks you for the giveaway.

I would love this for the tea! I'm doing great nursing my son, but I can't seem to pump anything to build up an adequate stash!
  • LisaW · 1 year ago
I tried so hard to breastfeed my twins, but I didn't make nearly enough milk even for one of them. And I was so sore I cried at the thought of a feeding. I sure could have used some of the support in this kit then! Fortunatley I was able to nurse my third child and it's been a great experience. Thanks!

I've been breastfeeding my newborn for almost 3 weeks now - this kit would be great! Its all been much harder, and more draining, then I anticipated. But I'm going to stick it out! Thanks for the chance!
  • piece of me · 1 year ago
I desperately need this kit! I have been breastfeeding for almost 5 months now and I managed to have every problem that one could possibly have. Including latching issues, a clogged milk duct that turned into a breast abscess in which turned into mastitis (the abscess had to be aspirated which was not fun). I cracked and bled so bad on one side (the only side that she would take) that my nipple is permanently disfigured. I have also had thrush. On top of all that the stress of it all lead to me not having a very strong support system (which you need when you are starting out). Now after all of that my milk supply is dwindling! I have tried so hard to make breastfeeding work and now I am afraid that its all coming to an end. I would love to be able to try the MilkMaid tea to see if that could help. I would also love to have this kit on hand for baby number two (when the time comes). We have had many struggles but I would not change a thing. Just knowing that I am giving my child the best possible thing and that 5 months after her birth I am still keeping her alive makes it all worth while.

This kit looks awesome. My daughter is almost 5 months old and I have been breastfeeding exclusively from the beginning. Honestly, breastfeeding is probably one of the biggest challenges I have ever faced. My little one took a while to get the hang of a proper latch and for the first few weeks I was so sore that when it was time for her to eat I would actually cry through the feeding. Anyway, we stuck with it despite the pain. She has never been sick (knock on wood) and is growing steadily. There are so many reasons I am glad I stuck with it...
    1. I look at how much she has grown and it makes me feel amazing to know I did that for her.
    2. Feeding time is our time together...I look forward to it when I come home from work. There's no feeling like it.
    3. I am glad that she will be less likely to have obesity issues.
    4. She's a spitter, but none of her clothes have gotten stained.
The only down thing now is now that I am back to work I have to pump three to four times a day. I worry that my supply will go down and I will have to supplement with formula. I think the tea would help me with this. Also, I get engorged sometimes when I can't sqeeze in a break at the right time(although my boss is very supportive).

I can't stress to mothers enough how important breastfeeding is. Even though its hard at first (because it REALLY is)...it will get better and you will be so happy you stuck with it. And so will your baby!

I definetly could have used the Natural Nipple Cream as well as the Booby Tubes when I started out breastfeeding my youngest just 5 short months ago. My nipples became so cracked and damaged by the first night of breastfeeding her that I was in tears. I have had two bouts of Mastitis. The Booby Tubes would have been amazing as I was dealing with the pain from the breast infections...which in turn ended up leading to cracked nipples again...and therefore the Natural Nipple Cream would have been so very handy to have!

The tea probably could've helped me, because I was paranoid I wasn't making enough. My daughter, they said, wasn't gaining quickly enough, but she looked fine to me.

Breastfeeding has meant so much to me because it's our special time together. My daughter is nearly 17 months old and we are still going! I'm going to try to let her self-wean.

This prize would definitely help me! I am trying sooo hard to keep breastfeeding our newest addition to the family but at times it can be so frustrating. This would help out with the tea to help increase my milk supply. Right now doing the "typicals" just isn't enough and I'm ending up very sore, another reason this great prize will help me out!

  • Anonymous · 1 year ago
Breastfeeding is important because its so much better for the baby than formula. Breast milk is actually living, boosts immunity, and can even be used as an antibiotic on cuts and scrapes.

This is a WONDERFUL giveaway. Breastfeeding is so important because of the health benefits it provides, as well as the fact that it actually changes in response to baby's age! Formula just can't do that. I fell that breastfeeding is absolutely worth the struggles it sometimes entails.

What a great giveaway, and timely for me to - our little one is coming soon, and I am looking forwarding to breastfeeding for the first time. There are so many reasons to breastfeed, but right now the frugality of it tops my list - no expensive formula, bottles, and other paraphernalia to buy.
  • bk · 1 year ago
Breastfeeding is important to me because of the healthy baby aspects, and the bonding aspects! My first is on her way (just 1 month left!) and I don't have a lot of family in the area, or friends with kids, etc. Any support I can get is wonderful!

I wish I had had a kit like this when my son was first born. He is almost 12 months old but I'm still breastfeeding and plan to do so for a while longer. I just got over a yeast infection and then mastitis. HORRIBLE; I still have to be careful of getting a reoccurence. I love breastfeeding and I'm glad I stuck with it even though the first 2-3 months were very difficult for me.

What an awesome giveaway! I am breastfeeding my fourth child and proud of it. I encourage all my friends to breastfeed and let them know they can call me anytime for support. This kit would have helped me with baby #2. I only breastfed her 4 months-the shortest of any of my children. I couldn't [or that's what i thought at the time] so the milk maid tea would have been just what I needed.

Such a great giveaway!! We're due in January, and I already bought a jar of the nipple butter. Would love to have the set!

Why I think breastfeeding is important... it truly gives baby's the highest concentrate of nutrients they need. It has been shown to prevent many health issues, and stimulate brain development. My sister was also allergic to dairy while younger, and my mom swears she became so smart (she's a dentist now) because she breast fed her for 22 months (longer than the rest of us! thanks mom). Breast milk is absolutely the best for babies!!

I tried and tried to breastfeed when my daughter was born but there were issues that led to me ending up exclusively pumping for her instead. This worked out but it definitely was not the same beautiful experience that I have heard nursing can be. Now that I'm having #2 next month I would give almost anything to be able to have the experience go how it is meant to and if these products would help then I'm all for them!

    Thanks!

I'm bf'ing my 10-month old and boy could we have used this in the early days: poor latch technique, engoregment, plugged ducts, two bouts of mastitis. We've passed all those hurdles but now I have supply issues, so the tea is tempting - the rest would go to a friend who's expecting.
